This popular motivational speaker travels constantly and often overlooks important mail, including bills and business opportunities!
First, I set up her bills to be paid automatically from her credit card or checking account, so she no longer has to worry about unpaid bills and late fees. Then, I sorted through old papers, discarded outdated information, and established an in-box where all items needing action are placed. Finally, I cleared her files of obsolete records and created an orderly filing system that fits her unique business. This client has me come back once a month or so, to keep everything up-to-date.

This department manager at a chemical manufacturer was about to retire, but his office was a mess and nobody else knew where anything was!
I met with the entire department to determine the most logical arrangement, and reorganized the files accordingly--by topic within plant location. With input from the retiring manager, I created a database of files & locations, a master calendar of required inspections and reports, a list of current vendors and critical contacts--all searchable by keyword--and downloadable to a PDA. Colleagues are now able to locate any information, anywhere--even if they are at other plant sites. Oh, and I tidied up the office, too. |
